Tóm tắt Metaphor is one of the major issues in the domain of contemporary linguistics.Researchers have approached it from a variety of perspectives and made remarkable achievements.Recent years have witnessed an encouraging trend of dialogue and collaboration among different research paradigms,which will definitely contribute to a better theory of metaphor.This paper reviews the recent dialogue between representative figures from the camps of cognitive pragmatics and cognitive linguistics,with a view to highlighting the parallels and differences on the treatment of metaphor between relevance theory and conceptual metaphor theory,clarifying some points of collaboration and division of labor for both sides,and providing some advice for their future joint work on other linguistic issues
Tóm tắt 语言学界从各自的理论视角对隐喻开展了大量的研究,出现了不同阵营之间交流、交锋的良好迹象,对完善隐喻理论具有重要的意义。本文评述了Deirdre Wilson与Raymond Gibbs的学术对话,旨在呈现关联理论与概念隐喻理论在隐喻问题上的共识及分歧,厘清二者合作与分工的思路,澄清彼此之间发生的误解,为未来其他语言学研究课题的交流提供建议。
