Tóm tắt Based on the theory of grammaticalization and the data of different historical periods,this paper fully describes the grammaticalization paths of relative clauses in English and Chinese.By comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences between the two on different levels such as syntax and semantics,this paper also analyzes the deep theoretical reasons for the differences existing between the grammaticalization paths of English and Chinese relative clauses.It is discovered that the main mechanism of grammaticalization is conceptual metaphor in English relative clauses but analogy in Chinese relative clauses.
Tóm tắt 本文基于语法化理论以及各历史时期的语料,对英汉关系分句的语法化路径进行细致的描述,并通过对比两者在句法、语义等不同层面上的共性和差异,解析英汉关系分句语法化路径出现差异的深层理据,发现英语关系分句语法化的主要机制是概念隐喻,而汉语关系分句语法化的主要机制则是对称类推。.
