Tóm tắt Conversion is a productive type of word formation in English.Of the groups of nouns most likely subject to conversion, names of human body part are seen as a fertile source of new words added to the stock of English vocabulary.Despite thí fact, not much research has been conducted on how this type of nouns undergoes conversion. The aim of this article is to examine the grammatical characteristics of conversion of English words denoting human body parts, and, in the coming ones, systenatically investigate the semantic aspect as well as the Vietnamese equivalents of the phenomenon..
