Tóm tắt Cet article traite de l’émergence de la phonologie de laboratoire. Cette discipline récente est à la croisée entre phonétique et phonologie. L’objectif de ce modèle est de mettre à profit les méthodes expérimentales afin de valider et d’objectiver des représentations phonologiques de surface viables. La première partie de cet article est consacrée à la définition des domaines de la phonétique et de la phonologie. Par la suite, nous examinons l’historique et la définition même du concept de Phonologie de Laboratoire. Nous montrons, et ce, plus particulièrement à travers un exemple sur le dévoisement final en néerlandais, en quoi cette discipline permet aux phonologues et aux phonéticiens de travailler sur des questions d’intérêt commun. La seconde partie apporte un exemple concret et personnel des investigations faites dans le cadre de la Phonologie de Laboratoire. Nous traitons du maintien du trait de voisement des occlusives chez une population ayant subi une cordectomie laser, en comparaison avec une cohorte saine. D’un point de vue cognitif, nous savons que l’opposition de voisement est intacte chez ces sujets pathologiques. Néanmoins, les changements anatomiques liés à la chirurgie peuvent nous amener à nous interroger sur l’implémentation phonétique du trait de voisement.
Tóm tắt This article deals with the emergence of the Laboratory phonology. This recent science is at the crossing between phonetics and phonology. The objective of this model is to use experimental methods to validate and objectify surface phonological representations. The first part of this article is devoted to the phonetics and phonology definitions. Subsequently, we examine the history and the definition of the Laboratory Phonology. We show, and more particularly with an example on the final devoicing in Dutch, which this discipline allows phonologists and phoneticians to work on issues of common interest. The second part of this work provides a concrete example and personal investigations made in the context of the Laboratory Phonology. We deal with the maintenance of the voicing feature in stop consonants in a population who have undergone a laser cordectomy, compared with an healthy cohort. From a cognitive point of view, we know that voicing opposition is intact in these pathological subjects. Nevertheless, anatomical changes related to the surgery can lead us to question about the phonetic implementation of the voicing feature.
