Tóm tắt Learning a language always goes with the learning of the culture and ways of thinking of the people speaking that language. Through a comparision of the lexical units about the body parts, this paper will highlight the similarities and differences in the thinking and culture of Vietnamese and German people. Besides the Vietnamese, German and Vietnamese-German dictionaries, the author I also asked German people for the meanings of the words which do not occur in those dictionaries.
