Tóm tắt This paper provides an overt raising analysis of the English exceptional Case-marking(ECM)construction,assuming that the NP following the main verb is initially in the subject position of the embedded infinitival clause and it moves up to become the object of the main-clause verb in the surface structure.In this analysis,the raised embedded subject NP actually appears in the main clause in the surface string,occupying the spec-VP position where it receives accusative case from a c-commanding transitive light verb v.This can provide a principled account of the mixed properties of the raised NP and the linear word order of its construction.
Tóm tắt 本文为英语例外授格结构提供一个显性提升移位的分析法,认为主句动词后的名词组最初位于不定式从句的主语位置,经提升移位后成为主句动词表层结构的宾语。据此,提升的主语名词组在表层的线性序列中实际上已处于主句之中,居于spec-VP位置,从成分统制它的及物性轻动词v处获取宾格。提升名词组的混合属性及该结构的线性语序均可获得有效解释。
