Tóm tắt The four English versions of Elegies of the South,translated by YANG Xianyi and Gladys Yang,SUN Dayu.XU Yuanchong and ZHUO Zhenying,are the relatively complete versions which are published in China since 2000.Taking "faithfulness in connotation" as the basic principle,the translators use the strategy of cultural translation.Equalization,generalization and particularization are interwoven and complementary.Adapting traditional English poetic forms,they interpreted content and artistic value of the source text through modern English in popular,simple and fluent style.The four English versions reflect macroscopic consistency in promoting core values and disseminating essence of traditional Chinese culture:they also reflect microscopic difference in translation methods.All these are connected with the poetic features of the source text and the translators’ poetic tendencies.
Tóm tắt 杨宪益与戴乃迭、孙大雨、许渊冲、卓振英的《楚辞》英译本是2000年以后国内出版的较为完整的版本。译者以"信于内涵"为根本原则,采用文化翻译策略,等化法、浅化法、深化法交织互补;借鉴传统英语诗歌形式,使用通俗、简洁、流畅的现代英语诠释文本内容和艺术价值。四种英译本在弘扬《楚辞》的核心价值观和传播中国传统文化精髓方面具有宏观一致性,在翻译方法方面具有微观差异性,这与《楚辞》的诗学特点以及译者的诗学倾向有关
