Tóm tắt In this article, the authors have studied the effects of pitch and pitch contours of Vietnamese tones (in terms of frequencies and progression of the fundamental frequency F0) to the formant structure of 3 vowels [I, u, ɯ] to provide the acoustic parameters of this vowels in relation with tones. The research results could be applied to improve the quality of synthesis systems for Vietnamese and the identification of Vietnamese speakers.
