Tóm tắt The basic meaning of EXPER is that an event of a certain type takes place at least once during a certain period up to a certain point in time and that the event is repeatable, where the repeatable feature can be reinterpreted as saying that the sentence must concern an activity,state,etc. of a generic type,rather than an individual or specific one. Chinese guo2 represents a distinct sub-variety of EXPER in that the repeatability of the event marked by guo2 is subject to its CHANGE and NUMBER properties. The grammaticalization of Chinese guo2 is so advanced that many of its instantiations are found in no other languages than Chinese.
