Tóm tắt 本文从词汇语用学角度,采用跨模式启动实验的方法,研究二语隐喻的理解加工机制。结果发现,与喻体强关联、同时又与隐喻理解相关的区别属性词,在0毫秒就被激活,在延迟状态的400毫秒再到1000毫秒,激活仍保留和持续,可见二语学习者强化了与隐喻理解相关属性的激活;与此相反,与喻体强关联但与隐喻理解不相关的上义词,虽在0毫秒被激活,但在延迟到400毫秒时,激活消失,到1000毫秒时,则发生了信息提取困难,这证明二语学习者抑制了与隐喻理解不相关信息的激活。可见,尽管二语在时间路线上与母语加工存在差别,但二语隐喻理解加工的双重假设仍获得支持,即二语隐喻的理解加工既强化隐喻喻体相关属性的激活,又抑制不相关属性的干扰。
Tóm tắt Through a cross-modal priming experiment,this study explored how Chinese learners of English processed English metaphors,with a view to finding out what mechanisms were involved in the cognitive processes from the perspective of lexical pragmatics.Results indicate that the activation level of the two lexical properties of the metaphor vehicle,its superordinate and its distinctive property that’s closely related to the understanding of the metaphor concerned,varied with the change of the inter-stimulus interval.At the 0-ms delay from the offset of the metaphor vehicle,both the superordinate and the distinctive property were activated.While the distinctive property remained active up to 400 ms and 1000ms;the superordinate,which was unrelated to the understanding of the metaphor,was deactivated at 400 ms and its retrieving was found difficult at 1000 ms.These results lend support to the hypothesis that L2 metaphor interpretation involves enhancing relevant properties of the metaphor vehicle and suppressing irrelevant ones.
