Tóm tắt This paper studies the translation programs funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1980.The study reveals that 1252 translation programs in 43 different categories have been funded,covering 142 different languages and 91 different disciplines.It is concluded that the American translation policy,characterized by covering a large number of languages,broad ranged text types and diversified funding approaches,offers a good reference for China to formulate its translation policy to strengthen Chinese language and culture power.
Tóm tắt 本文分析了近三十几年美国国家人文基金会资助的翻译项目。1980年至2014年间,美国国家人文基金会共资助1252项翻译相关项目,覆盖142种不同的语言,涉及91个专业领域,并通过43种不同的项目类别进行资助。本文认为,美国在资助翻译文本的语种多样性、文本类型的广泛性及资助方式的多样化方面,有成功的经验值得借鉴。
