Tóm tắt "Chữ" in Vietnammese is a noun whichs is abundant in meanings and varied in word combinations. In Hue folklore songs, "Chữ" is relatively of high-frequency in unique combinations and has new meanings which represent cultural features of the homeland. By analyzing the grammatical features, sematich features and origins of words and of the word combinations containing "chữ", the paper highlights interesting linguistich and cultural features of the word "chữ" in Hue folklore songs, thus hopefully to better introduce Hue traditional culture.
