Tóm tắt Toponyms have been traditional academic objects of linguistics. In recent years, they have just received the attention from many other scientific fields such as history, ethnography, geography and culturology...Decoding toponyms helps to know and explore the information and values of the owners who have created the name for the natural geographical and human objects relating to the land in the area, especially to understand the inside emotions, desires and thoughts of community, an ethnic grop. This paper initially studies some of personalities of people in Ninh Thuan – Binh Thuan through the way of naming toponums.
