Tóm tắt As regards communication in Vietnamese, addressing has held a particularly important position, seved as a linguistic act and become communicative strategy.Vietnamese forms of address are diverse, coming from different sources and used flexibly from the domain of family commuinication to social communuication, in both formal and informal registers. In this article, we focus on addressing with kinship terms. The resons are that they account for major number of the whole Vietnamese addressing forms, and more importanly, they are also the core content regarding the issue of wether addressing in public services communication can be standardized, which is being brought up for consideration nowadays.
