Tóm tắt The research aims to translate (from English to Vietnamese) and to validate the Beliefts About Language Learnong Inventory (Horwitz, 1988) among Vietnamese learning French as a foreign language. After neing traslated and modifial in a language more appropriate to Vietnamese context according to method proposed by Vallerand ( 1989), the scale was used to conduct a survey of 344 students in Buon Me Thuat and Da Lat. The results show that model with 12 variables grouped in 5 factors fit to data collected. In addition, the reaseach also made a number of recommendations related to translating and testing scale.
