Tóm tắt Yijing（I Ching or Classic of Changes）is one of the oldest Chinese classics introduced to the West.As early as the 17th century it was translated and transmitted to Europe by Western missionaries,who tried to prove the compatibility of Confucianism and Christianity by underscoring the affinities between Yijing and Bible.From the 19th century onward sinologists and other secular scholars joined the ranks of translators and interpreters,conducting extensive research on Yijing and producing solid scholarship in this area of study.The 20th century has witnessed an upsurge in the translation and transmission of Yijingin the West,with numerous editions in different European languages and multiple approaches to the interpretation.Yijing not only occupies a central place in Chinese culture,but also has a profound impact on philosophy,religion,art,literature,politics,science and technology of many cultures in the West.
