Tóm tắt Lang Qichao was able to detail the Qing Dynast’s weakness in literature and fine arts-, revealing the greatestdifference between the studies surrounding- this period and the Renaissance. To construct a comprehensive new culture that is-advanced both in reason and emotion, Liang Qichao gave an in-depth analysis, examining both objectively and subjectively the reasons behind the difference, and proposing his own ideas on how to build “new literature” and “new fine arts”. Liang Qichao’s ideas are in stark contrast to the mainstream discourse of the New Culture Movement and Literary Revolution represented by Hu Shi and Chen Duxiu, forming a clear dialogue between them
