Tóm tắt The British Parliament passed a few forest acts to strengthen the management d exploration of the forest in India during the period of British Raj. To a certain extent, the policy of British government has promoted the modernity of India forest management and brought scientific forestry technology into India. However, those policies were far from perfection to protect the forest in India. Furthermore, one of the purposes of the India Forest Department were to seek profit from their management, which led to the unprecedented increase of forest exploitation both in speed and scale. India forestry was the most advanced one in British empire and it became a model for other colonies. India forestry became Empire Forestry
