Tóm tắt Locating the overview of the studies on English resultatives against the general background of argument structure theories,this paper classifies three types of studies on resultatives:semantic analysis,event decomposition and the complex predicate.Based on this critical survey,this paper applies Chomsky’s(2013,2014)Labeling Algorithm to the account of merging a verb and an adjective within a single event structure and,to explain the relationship between arguments and predicates in English resultatives,proposes within Borer’s neo-constructional framework a new constraint on the mechanism of thematic relationship,based on the interface between narrow syntax and C-I interface
Tóm tắt 本文将英语动结式的研究综述置于论元理论的宏观背景下,将动结式研究分成三类,即语义解析、事件分解模式和复杂谓词模式,并对此三类研究分别进行综述及批判性分析。在此基础上,本文采用Chomsky(2013,2014)的标签算法解决两个谓词在一个事件结构内的句法合并问题,并在Borer(2005a,b,2013)的新构式模式框架内,基于狭义句法与概念-意向界面的互动特征提出论元允准准则,并以此分析英语动结式论元关系的内在制约
