Tóm tắt 语境在语言理解中具有重要的作用。语义最小论者和语境论者围绕一些问题进行了争论,包括词汇句法决定的内容是否足以表达命题,话语字面意义的说明是否仅涉及词义与句法结构所决定的语境充实或是涉及自由语境充实、最小命题是否多余等等。本文聚焦最小论,阐释当今最小论的几种变体,廓清语境论对最小论的批评,旨在说明最小论并不是语境论者所认为的不合理和不直观的语义理论。最小论以其自身的确定性捍卫着语义研究的基本立场与形式框架。
