Tóm tắt 有部分中国古代哲学典籍起初先译成欧洲其他语言,或者在当时汉学家的著作中翻译引用,后陆续转译成英语。本文采用历史文献法、网络大数据检索法,并借助出版书目,考察儒家典籍早期的英语转译和传播。研究发现,19世纪前已有不少儒家典籍被转译成英语,使之在世界上产生更广泛的影响。早先传教士以传教为名兼做了许多翻译沟通工作,后来的英语转译,或编译,或摘译,都受到一定意识形态的制约,客观上也达成了文化传播的效果。
