Tóm tắt The "Ban-A-ban-B" construction is one of the commonly used constructions in modern Chinese. The construction is composed of fixed parts-two "ban" and variable parts A and B. The meaning of the construction can be defined as "a typical fuzzy state between A and B". The nature of the construction can be defined as "fuzzy expression of sub-typical category". The pragmatic functions are "describing the objective sub-typical A, B state, enhancing the accuracy of language expression" "describing the subjective understanding of sub-typical A, B, enhancing the objectivity of language expression" "Evaluating the perceptions of subjective sub-typical A and B, highlighting the negative attitudes. "
