Tóm tắt Bài viết này nhằm nêu bật các thách thức mà sinh viên năm cuối gặp phải khi phải hoàn thành bài tập chuyên đề yêu cầu viết tổng quan nghiên cứu về một vấn đề mà các sinh viên quan tâm.
Tóm tắt Writing litearture (LR) is perceived as an integral part when a sutudy is conducted. This paper aims to hightlight challenges faced by final-years students when they are asked to complete a LR on a research topic of interest. Research findings from a questionnaire responded by 124 students show three major challenges: identify gap that remains undone from previous studies; discuss strengths and weaknesses of current literature; and generalise, synthesize and analyse avaiable literature. Besisdes, students believe that to obtain an effective LR, it is important to have plagiarism avoided, analysis skills practised, and critical reasoning skills gained to synthesis relevant literature for the intended research. This paper also presents students' proposals accompanied by key recommendations so as to help students writing a LR in a manner being most effective, systematic and academic possible.
